How to Make a Crystal Bead Connector with an Eye Pin | DIY Jewellery Tutorial
Share
Learn how to turn a crystal bead and an eye pin into a jewellery connector for bracelets, necklaces, earrings and bag charms. Start by looking at the finished design, then follow the illustrated steps below.

Materials you need
One crystal bead, an eye pin, round-nose pliers, wire cutters, flat-nose pliers and a jump ring for attaching the connector.
How to make it
- Choose a crystal bead with a hole that fits your eye pin.
- Slide the bead onto the eye pin until it rests against the existing loop.
- Use pliers to bend the free wire above the bead.
- Trim only the excess wire, leaving enough to form a secure second loop.
- Use round-nose pliers to form and close the second loop.
- Open a jump ring sideways with two pliers, rather than pulling its ends apart.
- Attach the connector to your bracelet, chain, earring or bag charm and close the jump ring securely.
Tip: Check that both loops are closed before wearing or selling the finished item.
